Most industrial IoT platforms assume your data can go to a public cloud. In a great many plants it cannot, whether for policy, for customer contract, or simply because the board would rather it did not. Intranet-based remote control across mixed equipment

In a plant where operational data is never exposed publicly, the client needed a secure remote control system for motors across the site — from multiple vendors, each with its own interface.

2MB built an intranet-based system that lets operators monitor motor status and start or stop equipment remotely, with every machine integrated into a single interface regardless of make. Monitoring and control now run from one control centre, improving visibility and response time while all data stays inside the internal network.

Outcome: Centralised control of mixed-vendor equipment, with no external data exposure.

Drill-down defect analytics on an existing MES

A manufacturer running an established MES had reporting built in, but no way to go beyond the totals it produced and no drill-down analysis. Defect counts were visible; the reasons behind them were not.

2MB implemented a dashboarding layer on top of the existing system, adding advanced drill-down views of defect data and real-time visibility into where and when defects occur. The MES was not replaced. The result is enough depth to support root-cause analysis rather than only reporting the count.

End-to-end traceability for multi-box packing

A manufacturer packing multiple small boxes inside a single outer box needed a simple way to retain the identity and quantity of every box while creating one traceable record for the outer package.

2MB implemented a QR-based packing solution that scans each small box, captures its ID and quantity, and generates a single outer-box QR containing all the box records and the calculated total. When scanned, the system can independently verify the quantities and compare the calculated total against the stored value.

Outcome: Single-QR traceability with automatic quantity verification.

Before You Call

Will this work with our existing MES, or do we have to replace it?
It works with it. Almost all of our dashboard work sits on top of a system the client already runs and intends to keep — we read from it rather than replace it. Replacing an MES to get better reporting is rarely the cheapest way to get better reporting.
Does our data have to go to the cloud?
No. We build on intranet architecture by default, so operational data stays inside your network. If you would rather host in a cloud you control, that works too — but it is your decision, not a constraint of the platform.
How quickly would we see something working?
The assessment produces a data map and an agreed drill path first; the first working dashboard follows shortly after. We would rather show you one screen that is right than four that need re-explaining.
What happens when we add a line or change the process?
Expected — that is what the managed-services model is for. The data model is built to have lines and stations added without a rebuild, and changes are handled as part of the ongoing engagement rather than as a fresh project each time.
Can operators use it on the floor, or is it a desk tool?
Both. Dashboards are browser-based and laid out for a shop-floor screen as well as a desk — the floor view is deliberately simpler, because a display someone glances at while walking past has a different job from one an engineer studies.
Who owns the software at the end of the project?
You hold the deployment, the documentation and the access credentials from day one, and it runs on your infrastructure. We confirm licensing terms in writing before work starts, so there is no ambiguity later.
